Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our web visitors!
World Flight for Hearing has been more awake than anyone could believe since we got back from our earth rounding expedition. We have been invited to places all over Europe and we have been forced to say no to some of the invitations due to lack of time. WFH will be completed by the first quarter of 2007, but the website will be kept updated for at least another year. So stick around for news updates!
I have scheduled talks until December 2007 and every day I get contacted from people all over the world with thoughts, questions, invitations or something else. I am glad the project has reached so many people!
Since August 19th I have visited places all over Scandinavia to talk about our experiences from the expedition. As a few examples, the following events have been visited:
- International Congress of Audiology in Innsbruck (September)
- Technology exhibition in Sweden (28th of September)
- Mini teknikmässa in Lund (14th of September)
- Event with GN ReSound in Kalmar (September)
- Event at Briskeby skole in Norway (September)
- Event with GN ReSound in Sönderborg, Denmark (September)
- Event with GN ReSound in Denmark (October)
- Event in Castberggard, Denmark (October)
- Inspiration day in Jönköping (19th of November)
- Christmas holiday celebration in Örebro (21st of December)

There has also been extensive media coverage of the project even some time after the landing. We really appreciate the project’s focus in media and the worthy nominations and honourable awards that we have got.

In November our aircraft, World Flyer, was sold to a customer in Sweden. It was a little bit hard to say goodbye after such a wonderful journey…. Before the aircraft was handed over to the new owner I got the opportunity to take Ove Sandin, President of GN ReSound Sweden, up on a ride. This was his first time in a small aircraft and he seemed to like it!
Ove Sandin from GN ReSound is airborne!
 Goodbye World Flyer!
I still long back to the beautiful areas that we visited and I still think about all the beautiful memories that we received. I will keep them my entire life. The expedition has opened up my eyes to the world.
But it is also great to be back. I feel more alive than ever and I have new projects that embellish my spare time. Siljan Airpark, another big dream, is becoming reality in Sweden and next year we (me and Wanja) will build our house there.
Siljan Airpark is becoming reality. This area will soon be populated with 45 houses and hangars close to the beautiful lake Siljan
Another thing that has happened is that I have switched into a new occupation. From November 7th I am working with assistive listening devices with GN ReSound. My mission is to improve accessibility for hearing impaired people in the world. That is a good way for me to continue working for the hard of hearing people in the world!

Aloha Johan, Martin and Henrik.
Thank you very much for WFH picture, dedication and frame. I very much enjoyed hosting you when you were in Honolulu and followed you home via the internet.
Congratulations on the realization of your goals. My goal is to visit Sweden next year and come see your new residential airpark. I am travelling to Germany in June and hope to drive to Linkoping from there.
Johan, the website says you are now working with GN Resound. So have you moved residentially also, or are you waiting until your house is finished?
I hope to fly my new Cessna T206 across the North Atlantic in the summer of 2009 and come and visit you at the airpark then.
Any response is appreciated.
